Prison Healthcare
Cimarron provides fully-supported GP primary care services and specialist substance misuse services (IDTS) under contract to 4 large prisons in the UK. In one prison, this includes a 24 hour service incorporating OOHs cover.
Prisoners have always represented a socially excluded group who experience many health and social inequalities and our collective aim is to work together with customers to provide access to health services that are broadly equivalent in range and quality to those available to the general public.
There is a clear link between the provision of contemporary, effective health care and the chances of success in resettling offenders. Cimarron is a company with strong underlying ethical beliefs and standards which reflect those of the prison service and the NHS.
Each prison is unique and Cimarron, its GPs and the individual customer work together very closely to ensure that the service model required is delivered.
We can provide GPs for emergency, short term and long term placements and are keen to tender for any new prison healthcare services.
Contact us to discuss your needs and we can put you in touch with our customers (Prison and/or PCT) who will be happy to provide testimonials

“Cimarron are the only agency we would consider working with. They always provide good quality doctors, even at short notice; they build up a very good relationship and listen to the practice’s requirements. The staff are always cheerful and obliging and nothing is ever too much trouble.”
